About IZOBLOK
The IZOBLOK Group is a European supplier of expanded polypropylene (EPP) components for the automotive industry (OEM and TIER 1) as well as the logistics, HVAC, electronics and food industries. The group consists of IZOBLOK S.A. headquartered in Chorzów (Poland) and IZOBLOK GmbH in Ohrdruf (Germany), and produces over 30 million EPP products per year in four production plants covering around 44,000 m². IZOBLOK is both a manufacturer of EPP beads (bulk densities 17 to 200 g/l) and of EPP moulded parts. Bead production is carried out via an extrusion process with an underwater cutting system, patented processes for the in-house developed material FAWO®CEL, and an autoclave high-pressure process. Moulded parts are manufactured in the steam-chest moulding process (filling, steaming, cooling, demoulding) with part sizes up to 1.4 m x 1.2 m. In addition, the company offers product development (CAD/CATIA), prototyping, its own toolmaking department with 4- and 5-axis CNC machining, assembly and logistics. Main customers include Jaguar Land Rover, Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Hyundai & KIA, Volvo, Faurecia and Lear Corporation. Since 2021, BEWI ASA has been the majority shareholder.
