J.D. Austria GmbH, based in Wienerherberg (Lower Austria), develops, engineers, manufactures and sells mobile machines for recycling and environmental technology. The company was founded in 1989 by Werner Doppstadt as Doppstadt Austria and initially served as the prototype development site of the Doppstadt Group; since its acquisition by an Austrian entrepreneurial family in 2021, it has operated under the name J.D. Austria GmbH. Josef Doppstadt, after whom the initials J.D. stand, continues to head development and engineering. The product portfolio includes float-sink separation machines (De-Stoner GT130 and GT150) for separating mixed biomass waste using water, as well as star screen machines (HS814, DS1600) for screening out oversize grain from pre-shredded waste wood, root wood and green cuttings. In addition, the company offers service, maintenance, repair and spare parts supply for its machines. The systems are used for processing waste wood, household, commercial and industrial waste, organic waste, excavated soil and green cuttings, and are in operation in more than 15 countries worldwide.
