About J. & L. Lobmeyr

J. & L. Lobmeyr is a Viennese family business for glassware and lighting design, founded in 1823 and now run by the sixth generation. The range comprises high-quality utility glass made of crystal as well as chandeliers and luminaires, produced entirely in the company's own atelier workshops in the heart of Vienna. All glasses are mouth-blown and then cut, engraved and polished by hand; in addition, custom-made pieces, collector's items, mirrors in historical and modern styles, and elaborate decorations such as enamel painting, gold contouring and black-lustre painting are created. The company has worked and continues to work with designers such as Josef Hoffmann, Adolf Loos, Ted Muehling, formafantasma and Michael Anastassiades. References include the Vienna State Opera, the Metropolitan Opera New York, the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington DC, the Kremlin, the Hofburg, Schönbrunn Palace and Hotel Sacher. The flagship store with boutique, workshops and the company's own museum is located at Kärntner Straße 26 in Vienna.
