About us
J-P. Fracheboud AG is a sharpening and grinding service with tool trading, headquartered in Orpund with a branch in Worb. The six-person team sharpens and grinds cutting tools such as circular saw blades (CV, HM, HSS), band saws, planer blades, milling cutters, chains, drills and countersinks, as well as various other tools such as paper knives, shears and punching dies. Sharpening work is carried out according to the guidelines and dimensions prescribed by the tool manufacturers; various tooth grinds such as double-raker, flat, gullet, trapezoid and alternating tooth are possible. The machine park includes sharpening and grinding machines from AKE, Loroch, Schneeberger and Volmer, including CNC-controlled saw sharpening machines and a surface grinding machine. For over 30 years, the company has served customers from the wood, metal, plastics, construction, paper and food industries as well as schools and administrations. A pickup and delivery service in the Bern/Orpund/Worb area complements the offering; employees have been active in sharpening and grinding technology for over 20 years.
