J+P Maschinenbau GmbH is a machine manufacturer specialising in end-of-line packaging machines, based in Sobrigau near Dresden. Founded in 1992 by Hans-Peter Jensen, the family-owned company plans, designs and manufactures secondary packaging systems: compact end-of-line packaging machines (tray-lid packers, tray packers, wrap-around packers, American case packers), case packing machines for horizontal and vertical product presentation, tray formers, lid applying machines, assortment systems, semi-automatic machines as well as conveyor technology and bag and carton handling components. The design builds on proven Dresden packaging machine technology and is continuously further developed with modern drive, control and visualisation technologies. The value chain covers development, project planning, design and software, production and purchasing, assembly and commissioning as well as service support. The machines are delivered primarily to the food industry, including brands such as Milka, Em-eukal, Seeberger and Weight Watchers. Around 75 to 90 employees work at the Sobrigau (Kreischa) and Reichstädt (Dippoldiswalde) sites.
