About Sauer Compressors
J.P. Sauer & Sohn Maschinenbau GmbH in Kiel is the headquarters of the German mid-sized corporate group Sauer Compressors, which comprises 15 international companies. The company, which grew out of a brass foundry founded in 1884 by Wilhelm Poppe, develops, manufactures and sells oil-lubricated as well as oil-free medium- and high-pressure compressors (reciprocating piston compressors) for compressing air, technical and process gases at pressures from 20 to 500 bar(g). Four product lines – SAUER, HAUG, GIRODIN and EK – cover specific application areas: SAUER oil-lubricated high-pressure compressors, HAUG oil-free and hermetically gas-tight compressors, and GIRODIN and EK special compressors for the naval market. In addition to standard products, customised solutions are offered for individual customers, OEMs and globally active companies, complemented by accessories, engineering services, assemblies, service concepts and turnkey complete systems. Production and manufacturing depth include, among other things, welding in accordance with DIN 2303, in-house test benches and a paint shop in Kiel as well as assembly in Kiel and Žandov (Czech Republic). Customer industries include industry, commercial shipping, offshore, naval/defence, mining as well as oil & gas.
