About Schmalz
J. Schmalz GmbH, headquartered in Glatten in the Black Forest, develops and manufactures vacuum technology for industrial automation and ergonomic manual handling. The portfolio comprises vacuum grippers and components, end-of-arm tooling for robots, vacuum lifters and crane systems for manual work processes, as well as vacuum clamping technology for the machining of wood, metal, glass and plastics. The offering is complemented by digital engineering services, software products with IO-Link, as well as consulting, project planning and worldwide service. Founded in 1910, the family-owned company carries out in-house manufacturing, among other things using 3D printing for rapid prototyping from thermoplastics and elastomers, and tests its products on its own test benches and in climate chambers. The Schmalz Group comprises the companies Schmalz, GPS (production systems, Stuttgart) and Binar Handling (Sweden) as well as subsidiaries in the USA, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Poland and China. Customers come from industries such as food, logistics, automotive, wood, metal, packaging, glass, electronics, solar and wind energy.
