About J. Schneider Elektrotechnik
J. Schneider Elektrotechnik SE is a family-owned company based in Offenburg that has been active in the field of electrical engineering since 1939. From a repair workshop for electric motors, an industrial enterprise with around 400 employees at three Offenburg plants has grown. The company develops and produces transformers and chokes (dry-type and oil-filled transformers), uninterruptible power supplies (DC UPS of the AKKUTEC series with batteries or ultracapacitors) as well as high-voltage and plasma power supplies. Another business division is the Service Center for electrical drives with repair, maintenance, retrofit and machine diagnostics for drives up to 2000 kW or 10 t, including contract balancing and on-site installations. In the service area, UPS systems of all brands are also maintained, DGUV V3 tests are carried out and battery services are offered. Customers come from railway technology, the energy industry (grid connection stations according to §14a EnWG and VDE-AR-N 4110), industry as well as research and development, e.g. for test systems. Manufacturing takes place entirely in Offenburg (Made in Germany), among other things using copper and electrical steel in transformer construction.
