About ROTWEISS
ROTWEISS Produkte (J. Zürn) has been developing, producing and filling chemical care products for vehicle surface care since 1937. The product range covers cleaning, polishing and sealing for paint, GRP, gelcoat, carbon, acrylic glass/PLEXIGLAS®, polycarbonate, metals such as stainless steel, aluminium and brass, as well as plastics, rubber, leather and glass. Core products are polishing pastes and abrasive and polishing compounds – including the synthetic resin polishing paste developed since 1956 – supplemented by cleaners, sealants, and accessories such as polishing sponges, microfibre cloths and care kits for cars/trucks, boats and yachts, caravans, motorcycles/bicycles and aircraft. Products are developed, tested, produced, filled and distributed in-house at the Wasserburg (Lake Constance) site via factory outlet, specialist retailers, workshops and the online shop. The main sales territory is the German-speaking region, complemented by a cooperation partner in Chengdu (China).

PMMA (acrylic glass, PLEXIGLAS®)
Scratch-sensitive transparent plastic surfaces, e.g. on motorhomes, boats and aircraft, are treated with special polishing compounds and cleaners.
PC (polycarbonate, MAKROLON®, LEXAN®)
Impact-resistant thermoplastic surfaces are treated with matched polishing and cleaning products.
GRP and gelcoat
Cleaning, polishing and sealing of GRP and gelcoat surfaces on boats, yachts and caravans.
Carbon (CFRP)
Special polishing pastes and sealants preserve the surface structure of carbon surfaces without a grey film.
Paint
Smart repair, polishing and sealing of clear coat surfaces, including scratch-resistant and dark paints.
Stainless steel

History
- 1937
Founding of the company 'Adolf Weiss - Chemische Produkte'; production of floor waxes, wax shavings and polishes.
- 1956
Development of the synthetic resin polishing paste, known as 'Polierpaste' since 1998; the formulation remains virtually unchanged.
- 1979
Adolf Weiss sells the company to Josef Zürn sen., who continues the business with his wife Mafalda Zürn.
- 1995
Move to the new production facility in Wasserburg, Sandgraben 8; in-house development, testing, production and filling.
- 1996
Company management by Josef Zürn Jun. and Petra Zürn, both graduate engineers in chemistry.
- 2006
Doubling of warehouse space through an extension to the production facility.
- 2013
Opening of a cooperation partner in Chengdu, China; the German-speaking region remains the main sales territory.
