About JÄKEL
Jäkel GmbH & Co. KG Maschinenmesserfabrik is a family-run company in Diemelstadt with over 95 years of experience in the manufacture of machine blades and wear parts for agricultural machinery and garden tools. The product range includes tiller blades, loader wagon blades, baler blades, feed mixer wagon blades, rotor tines, elevator stars, cutting blades, hoe shares, chisel shares, blade rollers, scrapers as well as lawn mower blades. Production is carried out hot-formed and hardened or tempered from boron steel and chromium-alloyed spring steel, supplemented by the in-house developed JADU-H1 special steel; components with 2 to 12 mm material thickness and lengths up to 900 mm can be produced. In addition, the company offers JADU® product finishing (ECO, PRIMO, ZONA, STRATUM), partial hardening, flux-cored wire hardfacing and laser cladding, also as contract work. As a supplier to major OEMs, JÄKEL produces more than 3 million blades and wear parts per year on over 10,000 m² of production space.

Materials and Processes
Boron steel
Tough material for highly stressed blades and wear parts, partially hardenable in the cutting edge area.
Chromium-alloyed spring steel
Wear-resistant material for cutting parts; under impact loads, somewhat more prone to fracture due to the material properties.
JADU-H1 special steel
In-house special steel, particularly suitable for the JADU®-ZONA series and blade rollers with special serration.
JADU® product finishing (ECO, PRIMO, ZONA, STRATUM)
Thermally applied wear protection made from specially developed hard-material alloys for extended service life and self-sharpening effects.
Flux-cored wire hardfacing
Wear-protection armouring for rotor tines and elevator stars.
Laser cladding
Wear-protection coating for own products and as contract work on weldable materials.
