JAESPA-Maschinenfabrik Karl Jäger GmbH has been developing and manufacturing band saw machines in Spangenberg, Hesse, since 1957. The product range comprises around 60 standard models from the Concept, Compact, Classic MSU, AS and BS series: straight-cut and mitre-cut band saw machines in swing-frame and dual-column designs, vertical band saw machines with working widths up to 2000 mm, and horizontal band saws with cutting capacities up to 1300 mm – each available in manual, semi-automatic or automatic versions. On 3500 m² of production floor space, the company also builds custom special machines including infeed and outfeed roller conveyors, conveying equipment, measuring systems and engineering as complete solutions. JAESPA machines cut virtually all sawable materials: steel, cast iron, aluminium, copper, brass, aluminium bronze, plastics, rubber, graphite, ceramics, sand-lime brick, quartz glass and silicon. The offering is rounded out by saw blades, consumables, spare parts, service, sawing trials and contract manufacturing in the company's own technical centre.

Karl Jäger founds the JAESPA machine factory in Spangenberg; the name is derived from JAEGER/SPANGENBERG. Operations begin with the manufacture of vertical and horizontal band saw machines for metalworking.
