About Brauerei Wochinger
Jakob Wochinger und Sohn GmbH is a traditional private brewery based in Traunstein in Upper Bavaria. The brewery is run in the 14th generation and looks back on more than 435 years of family tradition dating back to 1587, when Hans Wochinger purchased the Windorfer brewery in Vilshofen. Beer specialties are brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516 and served fresh on tap in the company's own Wochinger Brauhaus. In addition to the brewery, the company includes the restaurant with its chestnut beer garden as its main taproom, as well as the Leonrod, a grill restaurant with a bar, where individual events such as weddings, Christmas parties and birthday celebrations are also held. The brewery is one of the oldest family-owned companies in Germany and sees itself as a custodian of Bavarian beer and pub culture.
