About Jank GmbH
Jank GmbH is a family business in its fourth generation, founded in 1908 and based in Jeging, Upper Austria. With around 50 employees, the company develops, designs and manufactures the entire technical equipment for low- and medium-pressure hydropower plants: Kaplan and Francis turbines, steel hydraulic structures such as gates, stop logs and movable weirs, trash rack systems with in-house profile bar production, as well as electrical engineering, switchgear and the company's own plant control system JaPPOS. Manufacturing includes heavy CNC milling machines, several lathes and vertical turret lathes, and a heavy steel fabrication shop, complemented by sandblasting and corrosion protection in the company's own plant. In addition to turbine and steel hydraulic structure manufacturing, Jank offers feasibility studies, planning, turnkey power plant construction, revitalization, maintenance, plant operation management and financing models, and itself operates several hydropower plants. Customers include private and public electricity utilities such as E.ON Wasserkraft and EVN as well as smaller operators and private individuals, mainly in Europe and Asia. In addition, the company manufactures spare parts for third-party products as well as municipal technology such as snow plows.
