About alco
alco was founded in 1977 by Heinz and Gertrud Algra in Bad Iburg, initially as the German sales partner of a Dutch machine manufacturer. Since 1995, the company has designed and produced its own machines for the further processing of food. The product line comprises forming machines, predusters, battering machines, drum breading machines, breading machines, fryers, spiral ovens and HotCook systems. Customers come from meat and poultry processing, the fish and seafood industry, ready meals and bakery production, as well as from sauces, plant-based products and pet food. In addition to standard machines, the team develops customer-specific systems and adapts existing plants to production-side requirements. In 2022, alco was acquired by the JBT Corporation and, since 2025, has been part of the JBT Marel portfolio as an integrated product line.
