About JDC Electronic SA
JDC Electronic SA is a Swiss company founded in 1984 by Jean-Daniel Carrard and based in Yverdon-les-Bains. The company, with around ten employees, develops and manufactures measurement instruments, including Skywatch brand handheld anemometers, networked weather stations, flow meters (Flowatch, EasyFlow) and a porosimeter used worldwide to measure fabric porosity in paragliding. JDC also carries out contract development (subcontracting) in electronics and microtechnology from technical drawing to industrialization, especially for the watchmaking industry; customers include Boeing, Breitling, Breguet and Patek Philippe. In-house developments such as magnetic wind measurement and the pilot watch De Havilland Watches are patented. All instruments developed in-house are tested and calibrated in a fully automated, company-owned wind tunnel; the wind tunnel is also available as a service for model tests and special calibrations. In addition, JDC offers LED retrofitting for historic street lamps including cleaning, thermo-lacquering and installation, as well as dynamic lighting systems (eDyn). Around 60 percent of revenue is exported to about 80 countries.
