About JDI Europe
JDI Europe GmbH, headquartered in Munich, is the European sales subsidiary of Japan Display Inc. (JDI), a global manufacturer of small and medium-sized display panels. JDI was founded in 2012 through the consolidation of the display business divisions of Sony, Hitachi and Toshiba and develops and manufactures displays with high resolution, low power consumption and ultra-thin design at its headquarters in Tokyo. The Munich branch coordinates the sales and logistics of these displays throughout Europe, focusing on the automotive industry, in particular Tier-1 suppliers. The portfolio includes automotive displays (Central Information Display, digital instrument cluster, Head-Up Display), rugged high-reliability display modules for military and security markets, and medical and industrial displays via the subsidiary JDITK. In addition, JDI Europe supports technologies beyond conventional displays (Beyond Display): LumiFree for liquid crystal-based control of light distribution curves, the highly sensitive sensor technology ZINNSIA, and the transparent LCD Rælclear with 84 percent transmissivity. The team of around 30 employees serves customers from the automotive, smart devices, medical, industrial and military sectors in an international environment.
