About JDS MACHINES
JDS MACHINES was founded in 1994 and is run by Jean-Daniel Surdez. The company, based in Saules in the canton of Bern (Jura region), is today one of the most important machine tool dealers in French-speaking Switzerland. The focus is on the sale of manual milling machines and lathes and CNC machines (in particular as RETROMILL and RETRO TURN representative), suitable machines for the machining of single parts and small series, daily spare parts stock keeping as well as maintenance, repair and after-sales service (SAV). The product range includes the ProtoTRAK milling machine and lathe line, the vertical machining centers for the production of single and small-series parts, the manually and CNC operated RetroMill milling machines of the RMX 750, RMX 1000 and RMX 1300 series, as well as the RETRO TURN RLX retrofit lathes, which combine manual operation and CNC operation (conversational programming without prior CNC knowledge). Target industries include mechanical engineering, metal processing as well as tool and die making. The customer base is located mainly in French-speaking Switzerland; the business language is French.
