About JenaBios
JenaBios GmbH was founded in 1998 in Jena within the corporate group of AUA GmbH and operates as a service and research company in the fields of consulting, analytics and biotechnology. Its focal points are crop cultivation consulting, agricultural environmental protection and routine agricultural and environmental analytics of soils, water, sewage sludge and compost. In Central Germany, the company specializes in the analysis of special parameters such as pesticides and pharmaceuticals in environmental matrices. In biotechnology, fungal enzymes (oxidoreductases, hydrolases) are produced via wild-type fermentation, and natural products such as algal toxins, glucosinolates and siderophores are extracted and purified; contract fermentations are possible up to 30 l volume. The laboratory is accredited as a testing laboratory by DAkkS (D-PL-19614-01) and works in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. At the Jena site (Löbstedter Str. 80), modern analytical instruments such as GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, ion chromatography and HPLC are available.

Products and Processes
Fungal enzymes (oxidoreductases, hydrolases)
Extracellular biocatalysts from wild-type fermentation for biotransformations of lignin and xenobiotics, supplied as lyophilizate in 200 or 1000 Units.
Algal toxins (non-marine)
Natural products isolated and purified from algal biomass for research and industry; marine algal toxins are additionally detected analytically.
Glucosinolates
Natural products from in-house substance production, a company focus since 2009.
Siderophores
Biologically active natural products whose basic research was intensified in 2011 through staff secondments.
