About Joe Blues

Joachim "Joe" Harmut is an artist and musician based in Düsseldorf who has been playing Blues and Rock'n'Roll music in the so-called "Star-Club Sound" of the Sixties since 1963. He performs as a singer, guitarist and harmonica player (Bluesharp) – solo, in a trio, and with the Joe Blues Band. The portfolio includes live music in various formations as well as artistic works in the fields of photography, painting, and printmaking. According to his own statement, his exhibitions have been shown nationally and internationally, including in galleries, art halls, museums, and libraries; furthermore, he is active in Street Art. Performances have been documented in Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Italy, Denmark, and Finland. The Joe Blues Band existed from 2003 to 2015; since 2016, Joe has been performing solo concerts. The repertoire includes Blues, Rock'n'Roll, and Skiffle music.
