Johann Maffei GmbH & Co. KG is an owner-managed metal finishing company in Iserlohn-Sümmern which, according to its own statement, has been active in the field of hard chrome plating for 100 years. The company offers a complete surface treatment service from a single source: de-chroming, laser welding and spot welding, polishing, high-gloss polishing, shot lapping, sandblasting and, most recently, hard chrome plating – including repair services and mechanical pre- and post-processing. Tools processed include extrusion and pultrusion tooling, press, forming, drawing and embossing tools, die forging dies, mixing systems for elastomer technology, and injection and compression moulding tools with a piece weight of up to 8000 kg; also cylinders, pistons, piston rods and rolls made of steel. In the field of stone grinding, pistons with an outside diameter of up to 630 mm and a length of up to 4000 mm are machined.
