About Johannes Franzen GmbH & Co. KG
Johannes Franzen GmbH & Co. KG develops and manufactures special machines for sharpening and cleaning technology in Mechernich-Holzheim (Eifel). The in-house developments include the chain sharpening machine SA 6 for saw chains from 1/4" to .404" (including carbide-tipped and sawmill chains via a patented modular system), the blade sharpening machine F33" for lawn mower and mulching blades, the belt grinder BS 1000, the drive link deburring machine TGE 2.0, and the steel cleaning cabins RK1/RK2. The product range is complemented by the trading of ultrasonic cleaning devices (Bandelin), cleaning machines (Render), parts cleaners, harvester chains, guide bars, and grinding wheels, as well as service, maintenance, and factory overhaul of used machines. Customers come primarily from the garden equipment industry, forestry technology, sawmills, and municipal operations; the machines are presented at trade fairs in Germany, Europe, and the USA, and are sold worldwide via international sales partners. The company was founded in 1895 as a farrier's smithy and today employs 14 staff. Production and service are provided at the Mechernich-Holzheim site from a single source.
