About Johannes Menz GmbH
The Johannes Menz GmbH is an owner-managed family business from Steinbach-Hallenberg in Thuringia, founded in 1884 and today run by the fifth generation. The company manufactures complex technical plastic parts using fully automated injection moulding (1K and 2K) on Engel and Demag machines with clamping forces of 28 to 600 tonnes and shot weights from 0.5 g to 1860 g. The range of services also includes tool and mould making for injection moulding tools up to 1200 x 1000 mm, part and tool design with CAD, simulation and FMEA, prototype production by 3D printing, contract manufacturing in the 3- and 5-axis field, and assembly of module groups. A particular focus is surface technology: painting, laser processing, pad printing, screen printing, hot foil stamping and vacuum metallization. Customers come from medical technology, the automotive industry and the electrical appliances sector. The company is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and VDA 6.1.
