About Jola Spezialschalter
Jola Spezialschalter GmbH & Co. KG is a medium-sized family business with around 60 employees at its Lambrecht (Palatinate) site that has been developing, producing and selling measurement and control devices since 1952. Starting from the company's founding invention of a waterproof limit switch and a level controller based on it, the company initially specialized in level measurement of liquids; since the 1980s, leak detection has been added as a second core business area. The portfolio comprises four product families: level measurement (including float switches, immersion probes, overfill protection devices and electrode controls), leak detection in conductive and capacitive versions, limit switches, and chilled-ceiling control devices with moisture detectors. The products cover applications in automation, process engineering, environmental protection, safety technology, facility management and explosion protection, including Ex versions for potentially explosive areas. The high level of in-house value creation allows production from lot size 1 up to (small) series as well as custom-made products and customer-specific developments. Customers come, among others, from industry, mechanical and plant engineering, building services, water & wastewater and the energy sector; sales are handled domestically as well as through sales partners in numerous European and some non-European countries.

Technologies & Measurement Methods
Level Measurement
Point-level detection and continuous measurement of liquid levels, e.g. for pump control, overfill protection and dry-run protection.
Leak Detection
Conductive and capacitive leak detectors for early warning of liquid leaks, including Ex versions.
Limit Switches
Waterproof limit switches for position signaling, safety shutdown and machine control.
Chilled-Ceiling Control Devices
Moisture detectors for chilled-ceiling monitoring and control that detect condensation and switch the cooling medium supply.
Explosion-Protection Versions
Devices in ignition protection types such as intrinsic safety ia and flameproof enclosure d for use in potentially explosive areas.

Quality & Approvals
Jola operates a quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, which is audited annually and continuously improved; for the manufacture of products for potentially explosive areas, EN ISO/IEC 80079-34 is additionally applied. In addition, there are product approvals under ATEX, the Low Voltage Directive and EMC, as well as a general building-authority approval under the Water Resources Act (DIBt).
