The company works independently of manufacturers and deploys the most suitable technology for each project requirement. Reference projects include, among others, swimming pools, schools and workshops in building automation, as well as dams and flood retention basins in water management. Since 1 August 2024, JOOS MSR has once again been fully independent.

Foundation of the company JOOS by Walter Joos in Adelmannsfelden.
- 1980–2020
Growth from a one-man business to a small enterprise; activities in electrical engineering, control cabinet construction, building automation and water technology.
- 2021
September: Change of management to Dominik Abele and David Beißwenger, participation of Hörburger GmbH, relocation of company headquarters to Spraitbach; expansion into energy management and renewable energies.
- 2022
1 March: Acquisition of Hörburger GmbH (and thereby the stake in JOOS MSR) by Bosch Sicherheitssysteme GmbH.
