Since 1919, Josef F. Filthaut Bronzegießerei GmbH has produced castings in copper alloys (bronze) and aluminium at its site in Iserlohn. Its core business is the production of grave ornaments for the stonemasonry industry: letters and inscriptions, lettering and memorial plaques, symbols, figures, lanterns, vases, bowls as well as granite articles and accessories. In addition, the company has significantly expanded its contract casting business for industrial customers from Germany and Europe, producing castings to customer specifications. The value chain includes casting, CNC milling, grinding as well as patinating, toning and painting of surfaces. Hand craftsmanship combined with foundry expertise characterizes the production chain. Today, the family business is run by Christina Filthaut in the 4th generation. Custom-made products and design consulting with referrals to stonemason partners round out the offering.
