About the engraving workshop
The engraving workshop Josef Jegel Inh. Bernd Reiß e.K. was founded in 1913 and is based in Berlin. The company produces engravings, milling work, signs, front panels and letters from materials such as aluminium, acrylic glass, stainless steel (V2A), copper, bronze, brass and plastics. The range of services includes engraving, milling, plotting of films, printing as well as surface treatments such as anodizing, chromating, painting and bronzing. Production is carried out on CNC machines that work exclusively with vector data; pixel formats are vectorized in-house. The engraving workshop also processes supplied plates and housings, for example with cut-outs and inscriptions.

Materials and processes
Aluminium
Raw or anodized, in various colors and thicknesses from 0.5 to 4 mm, also RoHS-compliant chromated.
Acrylic glass
Clear, opaque or colored, UV- and weather-resistant, engravable with colored reverse side.
Stainless steel
Ground, polished or raw in thicknesses from 1 to 3 mm, holes and cut-outs by laser or stamping.
Copper
Engraving and milling work according to customer requirements.
Bronze
Can be supplied or engraved.
Brass
Raw, polished or ground, 0.6 to 4 mm, optionally oven-enamel painted or bronzed for weather-resistant labeling.
Plastics
Single-color up to 3-layer, UV-resistant, solvent-resistant, partly self-adhesive.
Adhesive films
Engravable films in 0.2 mm for labeling uneven or curved surfaces, UV- and weather-resistant.
