About Josef Lídl
Josef Lídl is a traditional Czech manufacturer of brass instruments based in Hradec Králové. Founded in 1892, the company was the first brass instrument factory in Moravia and to this day produces exclusively in its own Czech workshop. The product range includes trumpets (including rotary-valve trumpets), flugelhorns, French horns and double horns, tenor horns, baritones, tubas as well as Parforce horns and Invention horns. Instruments are handmade from yellow brass, gold brass and nickel silver; bells of Deluxe models are hand-hammered from a single piece, with processes including soldering, lacquering or burnt/brushed finishes as well as hand-made engravings on Deluxe models. Individual specifications and custom builds can be incorporated into production where possible. Distribution in the EU is handled by Arnold Stölzel GmbH in Wiesbaden, in the USA by Willis Music and in Japan by the DAC Corporation.
