About Julius Meinl
Julius Meinl is an Austrian family business in its fifth generation, headquartered in Vienna-Ottakring, and is one of the oldest coffee giants in the world. The company roasts around 14,000 tonnes of coffee annually in two roasting plants: at its original site on Julius Meinl-Gasse (Vienna roast) and in Vicenza, northern Italy (dark Italian roast, since 2005). The portfolio includes whole beans, small-batch roasted blends and single origins, tea, home-compostable coffee capsules (INSPRESSO) as well as porcelain, coffee machines and accessories for the hospitality industry. In addition to production, Julius Meinl offers barista training at its own Coffee and Tea Academy in Vienna, technical machine service and POS branding. Core markets are Austria, Italy and Central and Eastern Europe; via subsidiaries and distribution partners, products are delivered to more than 70 countries. Customers include around 50,000 hospitality businesses (hotels, restaurants, cafés, bakeries) as well as the retail trade.
