About Junge Fahrzeugbau
Junge Fahrzeugbau GmbH is an owner-managed manufacturer of commercial vehicle bodies based in Barsbüttel near Hamburg. From a craft business founded in 1983 with five employees, the company developed into a series manufacturer that today produces around 6,500 bodies and trailers per year with over 450 employees at three sites in Germany. The product range includes the brands LIGHTSTAR (van/box bodies 3.5–6.5 t GVW), LOADSTAR (box, platform and sliding tarpaulin bodies 7.0–26.0 t GVW), TRAILERSTAR (central-axle trailers including own chassis 3.5–11.99 t GVW) and BIKESTAR (cargo bike bodies up to 600 kg GVW). Production is based on a proprietary modular system and platform concept with chassis-independent, standardized series production as well as special-purpose vehicle construction. Materials processed include aluminium, steel (hot-dip galvanized), stainless steel, GRP and recyclable PP honeycomb panels. As a system partner of well-known commercial vehicle manufacturers such as VW Commercial Vehicles, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, DAF, Iveco, Volvo and Renault, Junge supplies industries ranging from freight forwarding and furniture logistics to plumbing, trades, CEP and home delivery; the offering is complemented by repair, maintenance, spare parts as well as lettering and painting.
