About Jyoti Ceramic Industries

Jyoti Ceramic Industries Pvt. Ltd. is a family-owned manufacturer of technical ceramics based in Nashik, India, around 180 km northeast of Mumbai. The company was founded by Late Mr. Shyam Merani, regarded as a pioneer of technical ceramics in India, and looks back on more than five decades of manufacturing experience. The product portfolio includes grinding balls and grinding media such as Zirconox (zirconia) and Zircosil (zircon silicate micro beads), alumina materials of the Duralox series (92–99.7 % Al2O3), steatite, custom ceramic components and JYODENT brand zirconia dental blanks. Production is carried out on automatic, uniaxial and isostatic presses followed by sintering in microprocessor-controlled, gas-fired high-temperature shuttle and tunnel kilns; an in-house machine shop with wire EDM and spark EDM enables post-machining. Custom solutions are supported by the company's own R&D laboratory. Customer industries include, among others, crushing and grinding technology, the dental sector as well as electrical and reactor engineering; deliveries are made worldwide.
