About K Line

K Line Europe GmbH is an OEM and private-label manufacturer based in Düsseldorf specializing in clear aligners. Founded in 2014 in Dortmund, the company produces transparent dental splints for orthodontic practices, dental laboratories, aligner brands and Dental Service Organizations without their own factory. The value chain includes digital treatment planning by orthodontists, 3D printing of the aligner models with 70 micrometer printing precision, thermoforming of multilayer polymer films, quality assurance as well as packaging and global logistics under the customer's brand. Production is carried out from PETG, TPU and PETG/TPU hybrids in multilayer construction. Daily capacity exceeds 25,000 aligners; to date, more than 8.5 million aligners have been delivered for over 150 brands in more than 40 countries. In addition to its headquarters at the 3,000-m² plant in SEGRO Park Düsseldorf Süd, K Line operates production sites in Portugal, the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Egypt and Vietnam.

Materials & Processes

PETG

PETG

Transparent, stiff thermoplastic for aligner splints with good clarity.

TPU

Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU)

Elastic material that adapts better to undercuts and improves comfort and fit.

PETG/TPU

Polymer blends (PETG/TPU hybrids)

Hybrids that combine stiffness and elasticity and deliver more stable force delivery.

ML

Multilayer polymer materials

Layered polymers for more consistent forces over time and slower force decay.

SMP

Shape memory polymers (SMP)

Programmable polymers with switching segments that can represent multiple movement phases per appliance.
