Owner-managed engineering office since 1980
K P S Konstruktions- & Planungs Service GmbH (KPS GmbH) is an owner-managed engineering office based in Mannheim with roots in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. The 12-person team plans, designs and documents technical systems across the entire life cycle: electrical engineering design services (building services) according to HOAI LPH 1–7, fire alarm and security systems according to DIN 14675, building automation and MSR technology, EPLAN hardware planning for control cabinets and controls, construction design and special-purpose machinery as well as CAFM-compliant as-built and operator documentation with CAD and BIM support. Tools used are EPLAN Electric P8, AutoCAD Electrical and the Autodesk AEC Collection with Revit and Navisworks; data is exchanged as IFC, BCF, DWG/DXF and CAFM export formats. Clients come from industry and plant engineering, data centers, banks and high-availability buildings, healthcare, pharma and research, rail infrastructure as well as the public sector – from individual control systems to several hundred control cabinets. The office is located at Augustaanlage 50 in Mannheim; project teams operate nationwide across Germany and, on request, internationally.
