About K+W Polstermöbel
K+W Polstermöbel GmbH + Co. KG was founded in 1799 in Lichtenfels as a basket-weaving workshop and is today one of the leading European manufacturers of upholstered furniture for open-plan living and dining areas. The product range includes living room ensembles, sofas, and dining sofa and chair groups; in the dining room segment, the company operates under the siLaxx® brand. Production comprises fabric and leather cutting on cutter systems, surface treatment, upholstery and assembly; development and design are carried out with CAD systems in the company's own pattern-making workshop. Covers include Longlife leathers (pigmented thick and smooth leather) as well as fabric qualities such as bouclé, chenille, flat weave, microfiber, polyester velour and Q2 raw leather; frames and table tops are made of wood or wood substitutes. Since 2007, K+W has been part of the himolla Group; in 2010 part of production was relocated to group factories in Slovakia and Hungary. The central production site with surface treatment, upholstery, shipping and warehousing, and since 2019 also administration and pattern-making, is located in Mitwitz.
