Kadant PAAL is an international manufacturer of balers and waste compactors with headquarters and production in Georgsmarienhütte near Osnabrück. The company designs and produces automatic channel balers (KONTI, PACOMAT, HTR), two-ram balers, semi-automatic door balers (PAC), twine-tying balers (DOKON), can balers (S1W) as well as chain conveyor belts and the patented RFID bale identification system BALEiD. The British subsidiary Kadant PAAL Limited (formerly DICOM) has been manufacturing static and portable waste compactors and vertical mill-size balers in Alfreton, Derbyshire, for over 40 years. Shipments also include preventive and predictive maintenance (PAAL PrediX), remote servicing, overhauls, rental and training (PAAL Academy). The machines bale paper, cardboard, PET, plastic films, tin and aluminium cans, household waste, RDF/biomass and agricultural fibres for recycling plants, paper mills, agriculture, energy from waste, retail and distribution centres. Since 2016 the company has been part of the Kadant Group; more than 32,000 machines have been delivered worldwide.
