Käfer und Hummel Polstertechnik, founded in 2002 as a furniture manufactory, is a system supplier for the design, development and production of upholstered furniture based in Ursensollen in the Upper Palatinate. The company, with 140 employees, supports renowned designers and furniture manufacturers throughout the entire process – from the first draft through prototype construction and sampling to series production. The in-house development department brings projects to production readiness; at the core is the craftsmanship of upholstery technology, including technical chair components that have helped shape industry standards over more than 20 years. The seating furniture is delivered throughout Europe and is used by internationally known customers from politics, sports and design. As of 2025, the company holds the Clean Advantage® certificate for sustainable practices.
