About Kährs
Kährs is a Swedish flooring manufacturer, historically based in Nybro with its head office in Malmö. The company produces multilayer engineered wood floors (parquet) – patented in 1941 and now a worldwide standard – as well as veneer floors of the Linnea line, factory-finished lacquered wood floors, Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT) and PVC-free resilient flooring with recycled and bio-based content (Kährs Zero & Green, Infinity, Aware). Materials are predominantly oak as well as softwood and hardwood in a multilayer construction, plus plastics and recycled textile fibres. The products are used in residential spaces, offices, shops, hotels, concert halls, theatres, sports arenas as well as in the healthcare and education sectors and are offered in around 70 countries. Following the merger with Karelia-Upofloor to form Kährs Group (2012), the international network includes sales offices in Europe, North America and Asia as well as an office and factory in Ikaalinen, Finland.
