About KÄMMERER

KÄMMERER is an owner-managed manufacturer of technical specialty papers based in Osnabrück, whose origins go back to a paper mill founded on the Hase river in 1808. On two paper machines (PM4 and PM6), around 110,000 tonnes of paper are produced annually, including abrasive base papers (grammage 120–500 g/m², widths 500–2050 mm), wallpaper papers and wallpaper nonwovens, poster papers, barrier papers, liner papers (KAEMLINER), kraft papers and flame-retardant papers. Production uses FSC-/PEFC-certified virgin fiber raw materials, in wood-containing and wood-free grades. Customer industries include, among others, the abrasives, wallpaper, advertising, packaging, construction, metal and automotive industries. The company is largely self-sufficient in energy: its own power plant supplies 100% of the steam requirement (400,000 t/year) and 50% of the electricity (50 GWh/year) based on waste-wood biomass.
