About Kässbohrer Transport Technik
Kässbohrer Transport Technik GmbH, based in Eugendorf near Salzburg, is part of the Kässbohrer Industrial Group, a family-run company with a tradition spanning more than 130 years. As early as 1950, Kässbohrer built the first engine-powered vehicle transporters; today the company develops, manufactures and sells open and enclosed vehicle transporters as well as customised special-purpose and steel construction solutions – from design through production to prototypes, small series and series production. The bodies are made as lightweight steel construction, hot-dip galvanised, partly with aluminium hollow-chamber profiles and GRP cladding. Customers are passenger car and truck manufacturers as well as specialised logistics companies from finished vehicle logistics and rail/intermodal transport, e.g. VEGA International and VTG (r2L load carriers). At the Eugendorf site, the service portfolio is complemented by a workshop, vehicle refurbishment (ExtraLife), painting, sandblasting, certified welding work and statutory inspections. Around 2,000 special vehicles are produced annually at the group's production sites in Germany and Austria; approximately 800 employees are employed.
