About BERGBRAND
The coffee roastery Kaffeerösterei BERGBRAND GmbH is a company founded in Nuremberg in 2010 by Jörg Christian Scheuffler that roasts specialty coffees using the traditional drum roasting process. Only specialty coffee with at least 80 points according to the evaluation guidelines of the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) is roasted; the green coffees come from origins such as Guatemala, Costa Rica, Brazil, Panama, Colombia, Kenya, Ethiopia, India and Honduras and are sourced through green coffee traders committed to sustainable ecological cultivation and fair trade. The range includes espresso and filter coffees, decaffeinated coffees (DECAF), rotating seasonal coffees, biodegradable Nespresso-compatible capsules as well as accessories and gift sets. Roast profiles are developed individually, the roasts are freshly produced daily in small batches and regularly checked in cupping for quality criteria such as flavor, acidity, body and balance. In addition to the online shop with a coffee subscription, BERGBRAND supplies business customers from gastronomy and hospitality with consulting on equipment and roasting; its own coffee bars in Nuremberg complement the business.
