About our roastery
Kaffeerösterei Kaiserslautern roasts specialty coffees using the traditional drum roasting method: 15 to 19 minutes at temperatures of up to a maximum of 220 °C, with a roasting profile individually tailored to each green coffee. The purchased green coffees are exclusively specialty coffees whose character is developed according to country of origin, growing region, variety and processing method. The range includes coffee and espresso, accessories (including Hario, Comandante, Aeropress, Bialetti) and tasting sets in the online shop. At its location at Steinstraße 27 in the old town of Kaiserslautern, the roastery operates a café serving breakfast and espresso. Barista courses are also offered, and coffee is supplied to companies, offices and medical practices (B2B). The roastery originated from a "coffee lab" with a small drum roaster in an architectural office and later moved to the old town with a larger roasting machine. Sales channels are local sales in the café, the online shop, and the offering of ECM machines and grinders.
