About Kaffeewerkstatt München
Kaffeewerkstatt München was founded in 2012, originally as a hobby-based coffee machine repair service. Since June 2014, the company has operated its own coffee roastery in Neuried near Munich and roasts coffee using the classic gentle drum roasting method: The beans are roasted evenly for 15 to 20 minutes at a maximum of 240 °C and then cooled with air in the cooling tray. The standard range comprises 18 coffee varieties, including 100% Arabica varieties, 100% Fine Robusta (Vietnam Black Honey) as well as blends in the mixing ratios 60/40, 80/20 and 40/60. The roastery is complemented by an in-house workshop where portafilter machines (household and commercial), fully automatic coffee machines, coffee grinders and lever machines are repaired and serviced – hundreds of devices per month. The retail store sells machines and accessories from the brands ECM, Profitec, Dalla Corte, Ceado, Eureka, Rocket and Ascaso; barista workshops (approx. 4 hours, up to 10 participants) are also offered. In 2020, Andreas Brachwitz took over the management. The company is registered with the Chamber of Skilled Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria and cooperates with the Oh happy Café in Munich.
