About the brewery
Kaiser Bräu GmbH & Co. KG is a Franconian family brewery based in Neuhaus an der Pegnitz in the Nürnberger Land region. Under the Veldensteiner brand, it brews Pilsner, Helles, wheat beer as well as non-alcoholic beers and beer-based mixed drinks such as Radler. For the production of its non-alcoholic beers, the alcohol is gently removed after the brewing process. With the Veldensteiner Bierwerkstatt, the brewery also develops limited handcrafted beer specialities based on historical and unconventional recipes, such as emmer beer, spelt beer and IPA editions. The beers have been awarded multiple times, including at the World Beer Awards in London, the Frankfurt International Trophy and the Concours International de Lyon. Veldenstein Castle above the town is the namesake of the beers; the brewery leased it from 1972 until the end of 2012.
