About Kajak Mietservice
Kajak Mietservice Wiesenttal GmbH operates a canoe and kayak rental business in Doos near Waischenfeld on the Wiesent river, founded in 1984 as the first rental business of its kind in Franconian Switzerland. Single and double kayaks as well as 3-4-person canoes from the manufacturers Prijon, Eskimo and Mad River are rented out, including paddles, life jackets, barrels and instruction. The fleet is regularly renewed, which is why used kayaks, canoes and complete boat equipment are sold. Two routes are offered: a calm short route (5 km, Pulvermühle–Doos) and a lively day tour (approx. 14 km, Doos–Muggendorf) with transfer to the start or pickup at the destination by the company's own minibuses. In addition, packages with archery on five covered lanes, picnics, cave parties and barbecues as well as organized corporate events, school trips and club outings are available. The season runs from 1 May to 30 September; operations follow the nature conservation requirements of the Franconian Switzerland Nature Park.
