Kampfmittelsondierung Krebs & Wendt GmbH & Co. KG, based in Neumünster, is a service company specialised in the detection, surveying and clearance of ordnance. The team of geophysicists, technicians and specialised ordnance specialists supports developers, municipalities and companies with construction and infrastructure projects in Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg and northern Germany. Services include DGPS-supported geomagnetic and electromagnetic surveying, depth surveying with drilling and measuring technology, construction-accompanying ordnance clearance as well as evaluation, documentation and consulting. Since 2017, the company has been part of the Krebs Group. In December 2024, a team led by clearance site manager Brian Friedchen safely uncovered a dud bomb and defused it. The work is carried out in close coordination with the ordnance clearance service and the responsible authorities.
