About Kampwerk
Kampwerk Umformtechnik GmbH is a manufacturer of drop-forged parts based in Plettenberg (Sauerland) that has existed since 1898. The company produces technologically demanding forged parts in the weight range of 0,2 to 6,0 kg from carbon and unalloyed steels, high-grade structural steels, micro-alloyed AFP and HDB steels, corrosion- and acid-resistant steels, aerospace and high-temperature steels as well as nickel-based alloys such as Inconel, Hastelloy and Monel – in lot sizes from 25 pieces to large-scale series, as forged blanks, fully machined, heat-treated and surface-treated. The value chain covers IT-supported component development and simulation, closed die forging on press lines up to 1,600 t of press force, heat treatment, surface treatment and machining; HSC milling technology is used in toolmaking. Customers include the aerospace industry, the automotive and vehicle supplier industries, mechanical engineering, defense technology, large engine manufacturing and the fittings industry (hydraulics). The quality management system is certified to IATF 16949 and EN 9100; in addition, a manufacturer approval according to AD 2000-Merkblatt W0 and the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU is in place.
