Innovation through team spirit and practical relevance
Kanaltechnik Schuster is a family business based in Horhausen (Westerwald), run by both the founding and the successor generation. Out of its own sewer rehabilitation practice, the company developed the patented HUTMAX system series: HUTMAX, HUTMAXinject mortar, HUTMAXinject resin and HUTMAXinject Close. These systems enable standardized, form-fit sealing and stabilization of the transition between the house-connection sewer and the main sewer in walkable canals with diameters DN 800 to DN 2000, including egg-shaped profiles. In addition to product manufacturing and development, the company offers rehabilitation services, including inliner methods with UV curing, manual rehabilitation with special mortars and special resins, shaft rehabilitation with GRP lining, and manhole-cover rehabilitation. The service portfolio also includes training, on-site support, technical consulting and quality inspections. Goods are sold exclusively through specialized retailers, delivery ex works Horhausen (Incoterms 2020).

Materials and processes
Glass-fiber-reinforced plastic
Used in the inliner method and in shaft rehabilitation as a robust, flexible lining.
UP resin
Impregnates the inliner hose and cures under UV light into a tight inner lining.
Epoxy resin
Traditionally used for connecting house connections; motivation for the system development.
Special mortar
Used in manual rehabilitation of sockets, masonry and cracks.
Special resins
Used in manual rehabilitation of sensitive hotspots in walkable canals.
Aluminum
Tested in early development phases of the pressure plate, later replaced by a flexible plate.

History
Family business, jointly run by founder Rainer Schuster and son Daniel Schuster; products developed from own sewer rehabilitation practice
Development of the HUTMAX system: after experiments with aluminum plates, decision made for a flexible pressure plate for DN 800–DN 2000 and egg-shaped profiles
Patented HUTMAX system series (HUTMAX, HUTMAXinject mortar, HUTMAXinject resin, HUTMAXinject Close) established; focus on manufacture and development of sewer rehabilitation products
