About us
Kanzelsteinbruch Gratkorn GmbH operates a limestone quarry in Gratkorn, just north of Graz and directly at the Gratkorn-Süd exit of the A9 motorway. The company belongs to the Mineral Familie (STRABAG Group) and is a local supplier of road construction materials for upper and lower base layers as well as aggregates for hot-mix asphalt and concrete production in central Styria. The annual production volume is around 450,000 tonnes. The product range includes aggregate mixes for unbound base layers, crushed sand, premium chippings, crushed stone, limestone blocks and armourstone as well as garden stones – all made from limestone. An asphalt mixing plant is directly connected to the operation. Thanks to short transport routes, more than 400,000 people in the region are supplied with construction raw materials in a CO₂-optimised manner. The products are CE-certified in accordance with the standards EN 13242 and EN 13383.
