About KAPE Erodiertechnik
KAPE Erodiertechnik was founded in 1998 in Ostbevern by Carsten Kennig and Uwe Plaschke as a two-man operation and today employs 21 staff on a company site of around 4,000 m² with approximately 1,000 m² of hall space. The company manufactures precision components and tools using spark erosion, CNC machining and grinding technology: wire EDM, sinker EDM, micro and start-hole drilling, CNC milling and turning, surface and cylindrical grinding as well as ultrasonic machining. Difficult-to-machine materials such as carbide, graphite, ceramics, glass and sintered alloys are also processed, alongside steel, stainless steel, copper and brass. Customers come primarily from toolmaking and special machinery construction. Quality assurance is carried out on CNC 3-D coordinate measuring machines in an air-conditioned measuring room, including the creation of inspection reports to customer specification. An ultrasonic machining center from Sauer extends the range of services to include machining the hardest and most brittle materials up to mirror finish.
