About Kappes Guss
Kappes Maschinenbau GmbH is a medium-sized specialist for aluminium permanent mold casting using the gravity casting process, based in Pfaffenhausen. At this site, machining fixtures and permanent molds are produced in the company's own toolmaking shop, castings are poured in the company's own foundry, and subsequently machined with modern CNC technology. With around 75 employees, the company processes more than 500 t of aluminium per year and produces castings with a unit weight of 0.003 to 40 kg in lot sizes of 10 to 20,000 pieces. Production is carried out to customer specifications for industries such as medical technology, measurement and control technology, electric motor manufacturing, gearbox manufacturing, rail vehicle technology, automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, the electrical industry, the construction and textile industries as well as laboratory and measurement technology. Via the company's own finishing department, ready-to-install parts and assemblies are delivered with short lead times of approximately 5 to 8 weeks.
