About KAPPUS
KAPPUS 1848 GmbH develops and produces solid hygiene products such as fine soaps, syndets, combars, alkaline soaps, specialty soaps and soap noodles at its Heitersheim site for industrial further processors. The company operates as a contract manufacturer and full-service partner for cosmetic brands, industrial companies, private labels, natural cosmetics and the hotel industry – from formula development and in-house raw material purchasing and safety assessment through to packaging and logistics. Production takes place on eight high-speed lines, four medium-speed lines and two fully automatic lines for syndet products made from compounds and single components, supplemented by automatic and manual packaging. The products are based on natural raw materials such as vegetable oils (palm oil, coconut oil, olive oil), shea butter and glycerin, are biodegradable, microplastic-free and can in some cases be certified according to NATRUE or COSMOS. With more than 90 employees, the company supplies over 30 sales markets worldwide; the site goes back to the soap manufacturer Hirtler, founded in 1887, which was acquired by the KAPPUS Group in 2016. Since 2023, the Heitersheim site has been part of KAPPUS 1848 GmbH, which was acquired by the investor roell partners GmbH.
